SKILLGROUND

ADME AB
Sweden 2024

Intro

SkillGround is a SaaS platform for corporate learning and skill development. When I joined, the platform faced usability challenges due to unclear navigation, inconsistent structure, and lack of user-informed design decisions.

The Problem

SkillGround’s interface lacked clear structure and consistency. Users faced difficulty navigating the platform and locating important features. In addition, product decisions were not supported by structured user research, limiting usability improvements and long-term product clarity.

Research

To understand user behavior and identify usability barriers, I conducted interviews with colleagues, customers, and students. This helped uncover friction points in navigation, feature accessibility, and overall user experience.

In parallel, I contributed to a White Paper on corporate learning by analyzing over 50 video interviews with HR and Learning & Development leaders across Europe using AI-assisted qualitative analysis. This research helped clarify SkillGround’s positioning and supported future product direction.

White Paper research and strategic insights.

Solution

Based on research findings, I redesigned key interface components to improve usability, navigation clarity, and structural consistency. I developed high-fidelity prototypes in Figma and introduced clearer visual hierarchy and interaction flows.

Outcome

The redesign improved navigation clarity and interface consistency. Research insights supported more informed product decisions, while the new interface and icon system established a clearer and more structured user experience.
