University of the Arts London (UAL)

United Kingdom 2023

As the product designer for the "Designing Products and Services for All" project with the University of the Arts London (UAL), the focus was on enhancing the visibility and impact of the Creative Shift program, which supports underrepresented students in the creative industry. The primary challenge identified was the program's lack of awareness among students, particularly due to disparate geography among UAL campuses and limited online presence.

The solution was a multi-faceted outreach campaign, "Claim Your Space," designed to elevate the program's visibility and foster a stronger sense of community among underrepresented students.
The campaign was carefully crafted to resonate with the target audience through both digital and physical channels.

A key component of the campaign involved launching a new Instagram account to share dynamic content, such as reels and posts that highlight upcoming events and community achievements.

This strategy was complemented by enhancing the visibility of the Creative Shift program on LinkedIn, where influencers played a pivotal role in promoting the program using the "Claim Your Space" banner. Influencers showcased this banner on their profiles and posted on behalf of the program, significantly expanding the campaign's reach within the creative industry.

The on-campus initiative was particularly impactful, featuring a mobile gallery concept. A van equipped with LED mesh screens showcased student art, bringing creativity directly to UAL students.  By visiting three different UAL colleges monthly,  This mobile gallery served as a centerpiece for pop-up events where industry professionals and influencers engaged with students, creating a vibrant atmosphere and generating significant buzz.

The campaign also included a dedicated page on the UAL website, providing detailed information about the campaign, an event calendar, and a form for students to participate in the mobile gallery van. This online presence ensured that students had easy access to all necessary information and could actively engage with the campaign.

As part of the campaign, merchandise bags were designed to feature images of famous artists alongside the slogan "Claim Your Space." These bags served as both a promotional tool and a symbol of empowerment, encouraging emerging artists to assert themselves within the creative industry.

The outcome of these efforts was a significant increase in awareness and engagement with the Creative Shift program. The "Claim Your Space" campaign successfully addressed the visibility challenges and fostered a more interconnected and supportive community for UAL students.
This initiative not only highlighted the importance of diversity in the creative industry but also empowered underrepresented students to assert their place within it.

Our Normal Association

Sweden 2024

As a team member, I participated as product designer to develope a user-friendly and impactful annual report template for Our Normal, a Swedish non-profit association supporting families with children who have disabilities. Through research, we mapped out the critical pain points these families face in different key areas. Our creative concept, "Shifting Perspectives," highlighted these challenges by depicting a week in the life of a family, illustrating how these issues affect not only parents but also other family members.
The report template was designed to be clear, consistent, and visually engaging, effectively influencing key stakeholders and driving societal change.
